One December, I found this rose in my garden and was taken by its bold statement of resilience. Such a delicate beauty facing the winter elements with courage and insistence to persevere. I could not help but think of the verse from Bette Midler’s song The Rose:
“When the night has been too lonely and the road has been too long
And you think that love is only for the lucky and the strong
Just remember in the winter, far beneath the bitter snows
Lies the seed, that with the sun’s love in the spring becomes the rose.”
Though we may at times in our lives feel like the seed beneath the bitter snows, we each have the innate power within us to become the rose.
evidence-based, integrative, and tailored to the individual needs of each client
Though my clinical approach is grounded in the concepts of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I use a diverse and integrative approach that allows for treatment to be continually adapted to the needs of the client based on their specific challenges and stage of treatment.
