Ruth is a Clinical Social Worker licensed by the Ohio Counselor, Social Work and Marriage & Family Therapist Board. Ruth is the owner of North Star Therapy, and she provides counseling to individuals, couples, and families in Northwest Ohio.
Education
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing, The Ohio State University
- Masters in Clinical Social Work, Boston University
Experience
- Community mental health working with individuals struggling with co-occurring disorders (mental health and substance use disorders), children in foster care, biological parents seeking reunification with their children, and clients on probation mandated for treatment by the courts
- Private practice serving individuals, couples, and families with a broad range of mental health concerns
- Group therapy for domestic violence, grief and loss group for individuals with intellectual disabilities, Dialectical Behavior Therapy skills group, and groups for children Pre-K through 12th grade struggling with the divorce of their parents
